James Rodríguez Shines as León Takes on Chivas with a Stunning Assist  

James Rodríguez returned to the starting lineup for León and made an immediate impact, delivering a brilliant assist for the opening goal against Chivas de Guadalajara. The Colombian midfielder, who started the match, showcased his magic just 15 minutes in with a perfectly timed cross to Jhonder Cádiz, who headed it home to put León ahead 1-0.  

This performance comes on the heels of James scoring his first goal for León in their previous match against Juárez, which ended in a victory for the team. Against Chivas, his creativity and precision were on full display, proving once again why he’s a key player for the squad.  

Meanwhile, the match was not without its drama. Chivas’ head coach, Óscar García, was shown a red card in the first half after a heated altercation. The incident began when León’s Nicolás Fonseca pushed García during a dispute over a ball, prompting the coach to react and attempt a kick, though he missed his target. The referee swiftly sent García off, leaving Chivas to finish the match without their manager.  

García watched the remainder of the game from the stands and will likely miss Chivas’ next match against Querétaro due to the suspension. The clash between León and Chivas was intense, with both teams showing their determination, but it was James’ moment of brilliance that ultimately made the difference.
